BIOGRAPHY

-

Popular French writer Mireille Guiliano, author of "French Women Don't Get Fat: The Secret of Eating for Pleasure," is currently working on a new book about women and business, two subjects she knows a lot about. The clever advice/cookbook "French Women Don't Get Fat" was an international success and ended up on numerous bestseller lists. Readers were taken in by Guiliano's honest, witty and anti-diet approach to cooking, eating and body image as well as tales from Guiliano's own personal experiences. Since "French Women Don't Get Fat" was such a hit, Mrs. Guiliano penned another book for the series, "French Women for all Seasons: A Year of Secrets, Recipes and Pleasure." In her books, Mireille Guiliano offers somewhat unconventional approaches to having a balanced diet, including drinking champagne, eating bread and chocolate and romance.

Mireille Guiliano is somewhat of an expert about champagne; she spent more than 20 years in the wine and spirits industry, including a stint Clicquot, Inc., which she founded and served as president and chief executive officer, and Champagne Veuve Clicquot.

Mrs. Mireille Guiliano doesn't just write books, her writing had been featured in several magazines. Over the years, Mireille has crafted articles on wine and spirits, food, lifestyle and travel for multiple publications, including "Excess and the Culture of Obesity" for a Newsweek magazine special edition and most recently, the article "French Women Do Drink Wine" for Bon Appetit, published in June of 2008.

Mireille Guiliano has also been the subject of articles and has been profiled in Food & Wine, Newsweek, USA Today, Business Week, The Robb Report, as well as the New York Times. She is a great ambassador of France and her lifestyle and has been called France's leading life-style ambassador in the press.

Not only is Mireille Guiliano's writing popular, the author herself has made various television appearances, including guest spots on Oprah, CBS' The Early Show, NBC's Dateline, The Today Show, and NBC's Dateline.
